About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background paired with outstanding commercial acumen. This is a leadership role, focused on driving business growth, managing resources, and expanding client relationships. We are looking for a self-starter with proven experience in engineering, sales, and human resource management within the industrial sector pharma, chemical and especially in IT, Automation and robotics. You will report to the CEO of the group and collaborate with our key accounts managers.

Commercial Engineer – Job offer

Responsibilities :

• Lead and develop the agency’s operations in The Netherlands, ensuring growth and profitability
• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the agency’s market presence
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing technical team
• Manage project delivery, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set and achieve business targets
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Oversee budget planning, allocation, and management to ensure the agency meets financial targets
• Take full responsibility for the financial performance and overall results of the agency
• Implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency

Back Office :

• Participate in the recruitment of the back office employees
• Ensure the well integration of the new employees
• Make sure that the Sygma’s ERP and CRM are used in an efficient manner

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical-commercial role, preferably in some of the industrial field covered by Sygma Group
• Proven track record in business development, sales, and team management
• Strong experience in human resources, recruitment, and employee development
• Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and verbal)
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to navigate complex technical discussions and translate them into business opportunities
